Green Peter Reservoir

Arrived at Thisle Creek boat ramp at 5:30 am. Water is low at approximately 956 feet. Trolled along south shore from the floating bathroom up the middle fork arm. Seemed to have the best luck in 100-160' deep water. Fished about 55' deep. I used a light Pop Geer troll then a double brass troll trailing a green wedding ring with double red Kamatsu hooks. I tipped the hooks with yellow corn and worm. I had 6 ounces of slip sinkers above the swivel. Father-in-law used a medium Pop Geer Troll trailing a chrome Super Duper (treble hook) and a 3 ounce pyramid weight. He used no bait. I ran the boat and had my pole in a holder with about 85 pulls of line out. Richard held his pole. Bite was steady and we caught 21 kokanee by noon. 3 were above 12" and the rest averaged about 10". Lost very few fish. Richard caught 15.

Green Peter Reservoir

Arrive at Thistle Creek boat ramp at 5:30 am. Water Level close to 950 feet. Ramp getting less and less boat friendly. Fishermen today are, Richard (Father-in-law). Will, my 6 year old son, and myself. I fished a inexpensive downrigger. Richard fished a weight set-up. Will shared my pole. Fish bit from 6:00 till 8:30 then we did not get another bite. Fish finder showed fish scattered 35' to 80' fairly consistently. Generally in water over 100' deep. Caught a total of 15 kokanee. The bigger ones (12") were caught early. About a third of the fish were hens with eggs. Fish were all of good quality.

Green Peter Reservoir

Fisherpeople: Jeff, Richard, and Rachel

Arrived at ramp at 5:30 am. Water Level approximately 947 feet. 63 feet below high pool. Trolled from Thisle Creek ramp to the island. Fish were scattered all through the lake. Did not have much luck with a kokanee troll (willow leaf) and super duper. Switched to a Ford Fender and a green wedding ring with double Kamatsu size 4 hooks. Short leader from fender to wedding ring. Tipped with white corn and worm. Used downrigger at 70 feet. After I got the downrigger technique down we pulled fish in very regular. Richard fished his 3 oz. Pyramid weight, medium Pop Geer, and a super duper and then a Triple Teaser but had not much luck. He caught 3 and lost a couple next to the boat. Rachel and I fished the downrigger and boated 21 (Rachel 20, Dad 1). All the fish were nice and firm. The biggest about 12", average about 10½", We were nearly 1st ones on the lake and the Osprey's came to greet us. Fish bit from 8:00 to 12:00 and we quit at 1:00 and made a run up to the Dam. Short wait at ramp and home we went. Barbacued 3 kokanee for dinner and they were great.
